Windows 10 now is officially released and millions have already downloaded the latest operating software in mass unison, what comes next will be hardware’s built with W10 in mind. Microsoft will be soon announcing on the next evolution of devices with Window 10 at the upcoming event on October 10, we look at rumours surrounding on the new Surface Pro.
Dubbed the “laptop killer” when it first came out, Surface Pro was a tablet that worked like a PC, fitted with powerful processors equivalent to high end laptops, the tablet was smooth and up to any task it was put into. A Windows tablet that built for productivity first and entertainment after. Now after three generations, the rumours are out on the Surface Pro 4 release- which is much more powerful and keeping up with the same principle of a super powerful tablet with a high end laptop or 2-in-1 function similarities.
According to WinBeta, the leaks on Surface Pro 4 suggest for the device to have attributes of XPS13 which is a really thin bezel, in fact it will be soo thin that it will be non-existent on the top and sides and only noticeable from the bottom. Which would mean the windows key button could be removed, leaving a screen only dependent for actions. Other leaks also mentions of a ‘smart frame’ which physically change size of the screen depending on the mode Windows 10 is in (desktop or tablet). The rumour states that when the device is in desktop mode or has a keyboard attached, the frame will be at around 13 inches but when switched to tablet mode it would shrink to 12 inches to assist the user in holding the device in their hands. Quite far fetched, but could be more about the display changing it’s visual appearance rather than the whole frame itself.
News on the internals for the device is still sketchy, but expect the latest generation Skylake processor from Intel to be powering the units, accessories is another list of items Microsoft needs paying attention to. Surface Pro 4 could see the enhanced version of the stylus and much refined keyboard. We never liked the cheap plasticky feeling keys on the previous iteration, and hope they look into improving this with a much more sturdier tactile keys. Googles Pixel C sports a nice looking magnetically detachable keyboard that clams up into a solid looking tablet/notebook hybrid, Microsoft needs to up the ante on that area.
