In anticipation of the upcoming Lazada Shopathon, Lazada Malaysia introduces Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its latest feature. The Image Search feature, available on its app, allows shopper to take picture of an item they want. From there, Lazada will suggest similar items available on the platform.
Tap the camera icon labelled “scan” on the top left of the app homepage. Simply snap a photo or select an image from your gallery. The same function can also be used to scan QR codes. This will take you directly to a promotion, product or seller page within the Lazada app.
“The usage of smartphones for e-Commerce is steadily gaining momentum, with approximately 69.5% of online purchases by smartphone users made via mobile applications…. We are constantly innovating in line with the current purchasing behaviour to enhance customers’ online shopping experience,” says Christophe Lejeune, Chief Executive Officer of Lazada Malaysia.
The Lazada Shopathon will be taking place on 27 September 2018.
