PES gives fans exactly what they want to hear.
Fresh off their partnership with Manchester United, Konami has announced a long-term partnership with United’s 1999 Champions League Final opponenets,the Bundesliga legends themselves, FC Bayern Munich. The partnership between KONAMI and FC Bayern provides the eFootball PES series creators with significant access to the club’s stars and legends, enabling the development team to recreate all elements true to life.
In addition, KONAMI is proud to be working closely with German winger Serge Gnabry, as an Official eFootball PES Ambassador. Gnabry will not only feature on the cover of eFootball PES 2020, but he will also be involved in multiple upcoming activations with FC Bayern and KONAMI that fans can look forward to. This is similar to the deal that PES have with Scott McTominay of Manchester United.
Following a complete 3D scan of the structure, eFootball PES 2020 will also introduce a strikingly accurate recreation of FC Bayern’s home stadium, Allianz Arena, full of small, but impactful touches that football fans will surely appreciate. The players on the pitch will also receive the same 3D scanning treatment and will be present in the new game at launch.

eFootball PES 2020 ushers in a new decade of industry-leading football simulation with a bold promise to revolutionise eFootball and introduce the sport to a global audience. The game features a brand-new mode called Matchday that will allow players to pick a side and come together for weekly events to compete in the biggest matches in football and help secure victory for your team.
It looks like this could very well be the year that PES steps out of the shadow of EA’s FIFA franchise. PES and FIFA have been dividing fan opinions for years with some swearing that PES is better, and others saying it’s FIFA. One major problem PES has had is licensing issues, which has led to players names being changed and clubs like Manchester United being called “Man Red”. It seems like they’re slowly fixing the issue, so it’ll be interesting to see if people start hopping on the PES train or not.
eFootball PES 2020 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC STEAM, on September 10th with pre-orders now available for the standard and legend editions.
