Remember Kia’s futuristic concept electric vehicle that they showed off at the Geneva Motorshow back in May?  Yes, the one with the big ass wheels, 21 angled displays on the dashboard and an aircraft like steering column. No? Well, nothing like some pictures to jog your memory.

Yup, THAT one. In an interview with Automotive News, European operations chief Emilio Herrera has come out and said that Kia is working on a production version of the crossover that should arrive in 2021, which we think is pretty freaking cool. I mean, word on the street is that it won’t be coming decked out with the 21 screens, big wheels and cockpit like interior but still, the car looks like something straight out of blade runner.

Kia and it’s sister company Hyundai are all set to roll out thir EV-only architecture which should really give its EV offerings a boost in terms of how fast and how long the cars can go on a full charge. Herrera also brought up that Kia is working on a hydrogen fuel cell car and is looking to have it complete by late 2020 or early 2021.

Now, whether or not this bad boy makes it to Malaysia is a whole other question and with our EV infrastructure still lagging behind it’s looking highly unlikely. But hey, things can change. Who knows, right? 2021 is a long way off so let’s see.
