Kevin Hart is a comedian, actor who has carved a big name for himself in Hollywood with his humour and wit both on screen and on stage, but the megastar has a certain ideology that has caught up with him resulting in him losing the job of hosting the prestigious Academy Awards.

“With great powers comes great responsibility”  this quote as cliche as it may seem, is more apt then ever when it comes to social media and Hart must be feeling real small (no pun intended) for not heeding the first rule of posting online. They come back to haunt you! The Jumanji star posted anti-gay comments on his Twitter account during his earlier days but did not remove them despite the latest brouhaha in Hollywood over racist or homophobic comments that is seeing directors resign or fired, maybe it was long ago that he couldn’t recall.

His Tweet read: “Yo if my son comes home & try’s 2 play with my daughters doll house I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay,’” this was tweeted on 2011 which Hart has deleted last week. This was spotted by the Guardian editor after the Oscar announcement he also noted tweets like someone looked like “a gay bill board for AIDS” and called another person a “FAT FAG” in his account. The question beckons, is this the Kevin Hart we have all come to adore and respect? Unfortunately, in response to the news, Hart has yet to apologise or feels any remorse to his tweets although he has stepped down from hosting the Oscars.

Hart is scheduled to perform in Kuala Lumpur this Saturday 15 December at Axiata Stadium, as part of his Irresponsible Tour and will surely joke about the whole incident. Comedians will always address the elephant in the room even if its about them, but he will not be able to deny the fact that this will cast a shadow over his persona, people have already started to judge the man and there is bound to be empty seats in KL.
