
With Lenovo having being the first to announce the smart display device with Google Assistant embedded, JBL is now the second brand to officially make available the Ai powered home control display with the JBL Link View.
First appearing at CES 2018, the JBL Link View has a smaller foot print than the tablet designed Lenovo Smart Display which come in at 10-inch, the rugby ball shaped Link View holds an 8-inch display that doesnt shout tech gadget but rather home accessory. Google is actively evolving the speaker version of smart home devices into a more useful gadget that has both a speaker and mic to listen with an additional function- the screen to give users more option like video. JBL deep rooted in audio will bring it;s expertise on sound to the Link View and will couple that with now Google’s AI and with a high-def touch display for interaction.
The high-resolution touch screen and 5Mp camera is framed by two front-firing stereo speakers and a rear-facing passive radiator, delivering JBL Signature Sound with rich, deep bass. Users can set it up in the kitchen or anywhere else in the house and use Bluetooth or Wifi for connectivity.
JBL Link View is splashproof and rated IPX4, availble in major stores in the US with retail price of $249.95, approx. a thousand ringgit.
