Is It A Remaster, Or A New Game?; Crysis Twitter Tweets Something After Three Years

Quite unexpectedly, the Crysis Twitter account just posted something after being inactive for a little over three years.

Its last post on Twitter was made on 13 December 2016, and funnily enough, was about a Death Battle between the game’s protagonist, Prophet going up against Predator:

The account went silent after that, until recently:

There’s really not much to go on from the tweet, but it’s a clear sign that Crysis is teasing something coming our way.

Some reports suggest a remastered game, though some assume it might be a new title altogether.

Regardless of what it is, though, Crysis is the kind of game that’ll demand the most out of gamers’ hardware.

At the time, all three games from the franchise utilised the latest graphic technology hardware to create some of the most stunning games.

Whatever this title is, if it’s capable of adopting ray tracing and multi-core processors, it’ll yet again be a game that pushes everything to its max potential.

Crysis 3 released back in 2013 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. While the game series has been lying dormant, its game engine, Cryengine, remained widely popular.

Still, it’s a shame for a series like Crysis to have not released anything for the current-gen platforms. Of course, with the cryptic tweet that may no longer be the case.

I’ve never really gotten into Crysis myself (disappointing, I know). If news of a remastered game proves true, then this will a chance not just for fans to get back into the series, but for new players as well.
