Instagram has a new feature, and that’s voice messaging. This feature is present in its Direct messages (DMs) with users able to can send a maximum one minute voice message whether in private or to a group. It’s however been slow in rolling out for iOS and Android phones.

Well, actually the feature has been with Instagram for years just that no one publicised or used it much. Its parent company Facebook’s Messenger has it. Whatsapp and WeChat too. Voice messages are gaining traction, becoming a preferable alternative method of communication than just texting.

It’s a welcome addition, surely.
