Insider: ASUS ROG Phone and ZenFone 5Z Will Reach Malaysia Soon

When ASUS drop the confirmation that there will be a dedicated gaming smartphone, the ASUS ROG Phone, jaws dropped. Nothing could possibly top what the long-time games hardware brand pulled off; that is until sources confirm the possible roll-out timeline for this mobile powerhouse. According to reliable insiders, the ASUS ROG Phone – truly representing ASUS Republic of Gamers (ASUS ROG) – will reach Malaysia soon; specifically, sometime August 2018.

Are ASUS ROG fans waiting in anticipation for this monstrously cool gamer-focused smartphone? Yes, indeed, yes. The details ASUS ROG reveal at the recent COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2018 global reveal are what gamers have been waiting for. As a quick recap: under the 6″ FullView Display panel of the ASUS ROG Phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragn 845; complementing that is 8GB RAM. Storage wise, there are two flavours: 256GB and 512GB. More important is the ‘X-Mode’ Game Focus ability and cool accessories.

While there are no pricing details, most are guessing it will be in the same range as its competitors; namely the year-old Razer Phone and recently released Xiaomi Black Shark. At least in that range or slight higher.

ASUS fans are equally as hopeful for the ASUS ZenFone 5Z. While not focusing on gamers, the specs is almost identical and will hold a candle against all flagships; gaming or otherwise. This, according to the same source, will be out in late July 2018.

It’s obvious that the devices will not hit the streets anytime before but there is no doubt engineering samples are already in the wild. The team is keeping an eye out for that just so a quick hands-on can be done. If either devices are discovered among close contacts, it’ll definitely come out as soon as possible; so stay tune and keep updating the main page for the latest on ASUS and ASUS ROG.
