Huawei Malaysia announced that the 6.59-inch Ultra FullView LCD display with FHD+ (2340×1080) resolution Huawei Y9s will be available at RM999 locally.

It’ll come with 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage, 4000 mAh battery with 10W charging and has a 91% screen to body ratio because of the 3D arc body which makes it easier to hold. The phone comes in two colours, Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal.

The Y9s also comes with a notchless screen, because of the 16MP auto pop-up selfie camera. Speaking of cameras, the phone has three AI cameras on the back; A 48MP main shooter, 8MP Ultra-Wide lens, and a 2MP lens. The phone is powered by a Moron 710F Processor, and also comes with GPU Turbo 3.0 to make gaming a smoother experience.

That’s all fine and dandy, but the biggest distinguisher between this and the Mate 30 series right now, is that fact that this has Google. Yep, that’s right. The phone is running on EMUI 9.1, which is based on Android 9. That seems to make it an even better deal with some pretty decent specs at that price point. On the topic of why it has Google? I’m not quite sure. But it might just be time to get back into Huawei, considering they even received a new ban reprieve that’ll last till February 2020. Let’s just see how this all plays out.

The Huawei Y9s phone will be available for purchase at all Huawei Experience Stores, Huawei official retail stores and Huawei’s online store from 29 November 2019 onwards.
