
In conjunction with Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)’s intent to spearhead 5G technology in the country, Huawei Technologies presented its first ever 5G technology showcase in the country. According to the ICT solutions provider, by the year 2025, the world will have 1.3 billion 5G connections. And with this, to support these large numbers of data and users, Huawei is developing simple, powerful, and intelligent networks to continuously create value for its customers.
Michael Yuan, CEO of Huawei Malaysia said;
“As a trusted partner in Malaysia’s digital transformation, we are strongly committed to building a fully connected, intelligent world and to bring the benefits of digital and AI to every person, home, and organization. 5G is not just about better technology, it is an enabler that will create a more connected society, where high speed Internet is not a privilege, but a basic right for people and businesses.
“We certainly hope that the display of our 5G technology and its benefits, at the 5G Malaysia Showcase event here, will aspire 5G adoptions in different industries.” He added
The 5G technology showcase featured seven different types of products and services. Namely smart manufacturing, drone 4K live broadcast, facial recognition cloud system, digital healthcare, smart agriculture and aquaculture, Huawei’s RuralStar in remote cellular coverage and lastly, Huawei Mate X, the world’s fastest 5G foldable phone.
