Huawei will officially roll out the Pura 80 Series nationwide on July 24, 2025, introducing what it claims to be a new standard in mobile photography, driven by a switchable dual telephoto camera and advanced AI features.
Revealed globally in Dubai, the flagship Huawei Pura 80 Ultra and Huawei Pura 80 Pro will offer Malaysian users access to an industry-first telephoto system that uses a mechanical shutter to switch between 3.7x and 9.4x focal lengths on a shared 1/1.28-inch sensor. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro features a 1-inch Ultra Lighting Camera optimised for low-light detail and colour accuracy.

Both models are powered by Huawei’s upgraded XMAGE imaging system, enabling high-magnification and low-light photography with vivid colour reproduction and natural saturation. The devices also offer 4K video recording and new AI tools, including Smart Controls Button, fingerprint-enabled personalisation, and AI Noise Cancellation.
Durability is enhanced by second-generation Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass, which Huawei says improves scratch and drop resistance significantly.

The Pura 80 Series also features a 5,170mAh battery, supported by 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Huawei confirmed the official Malaysian launch will begin on July 24, 2025, with early bird customers eligible to receive gifts worth up to RM1,428, including Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 and one-year Huawei Care+ coverage. Deposits can now be placed at Huawei Experience Stores and official online platforms.
