Huawei recently unveiled its 4.5G-oriented best experience IP mobile bearer solution, in Shenzhen, China. This new solution is centered on experience network construction, aiming to build best experience mobile video bearer networks. The solution puts forward three new network construction standards: xGbps-to-site, U-vMOS 4.0 video experience, and agile operation and maintenance (O&M).
xGbps-to-Site
Wireless vendors have launched 4.5G-base stations since now carriers are offering mobile video services as its basics. Huawei offers an innovative ATOM GPS time synchronization scheme, which is not constrained by the installation environment at base station sites. The scheme can ensure 1.5 µs time synchronization precision for any base station.
U-vMOS 4.0 Video Experience
Huawei’s innovative IP+MW synergy solution establishes an advertisement mechanism between access routers and microwave devices and prevents weather-induced packet loss on microwave links. The solution also offers Layer3-to-edge capabilities, allowing X2 traffic to be forwarded along the shortest path, reducing the number of forwarding hops by 50%, and ensuring that the service forwarding delay is shorter than 4 ms.
Agile Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
While setting a new O&M standard, the solution also integrates SDN technology into the bearer network, which implements automatic deployment of massive 4.5G base station services within only a few minutes.
Gai Gang, President of Huawei Router & Carrier Ethernet Product Line, said: “Huawei focuses on carriers’ challenges and requirements in the mobile broadband era, and to support 3G/LTE voice and web browsing services, Huawei has launched an IP-based mobile network solution, our 4.5G-oriented best experience IP mobile bearer solution, to help carriers transform their bearer networks in terms of IP, and provide wide service coverage.”
“In the next five years, Huawei will collaborate with carriers and industry partners to build leading mobile bearer networks. What’s more, Huawei will continue to explore more business opportunities, offer excellent user experiences, and promote the sustainable development of the industry.” continued Gai Gang.
Video strategy is one of Huawei’s key strategic solutions, as video technologies will dominate future communications. As a result, Huawei consistently seeks out partnerships with carriers to develop a new era of high-definition mobile videos.
