Huawei MatePad Lands In Malaysia May 16 At RM1399

Huawei are releasing a whole slew of products into the Malaysian market, including the world’s first FullView display laptop, the Huawei MateBook X Pro. They’re also expanding their horizons in the tablet market, and are bringing over the all-new Huawei MatePad to their lineup.

The Huawei MatePad comes with in their Midnight Grey colour, and has narrow bezels which result in a screen-to-body ratio of 84 percent and weighing in at 450g. The display is their signature FullView display, and the MatePad has a 10.4-inch 2K display and also comes with ClariVu Display Enhancement technology and is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified to minimise user eye fatigue over extended use.

The tablet is powered by Kirin 810 AI chipset manufactured with 7nm process which includes a 2.27GHz octa-core CPU, comprising two A76 performance cores and six A55 efficiency cores.

The HUAWEI MatePad also packs a sizable 7250mAh battery and 10W charging via USB-C. In terms of audio, the MatePad supports Histen 6.0 to drive 3D stereo sound effects with four high amplitude speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.

The HUAWEI MatePad also supports the usage of the smart magnetic keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil which makes for a more interesting proposition. Based on my experience and the RM1399 price, if these two are included you’re looking at a pretty formidable combination.

The MatePad also comes equipped with Huawei’s latest EMUI10 software based on Android 10. However, it seems that Google Mobile Service is still absent, so keep that in mind.

Huawei’s MatePad will be available in Malaysia starting May 16, and will start off at RM1399. For more information on Huawei’s MatePad or other products, click the link here.
