Billboard Shows An Outward Folding Huawei 5G Phone

Huawei is leaking its own teasers ahead of Barcelona, where the biggest telecommunication company’s gather to show off their latest innovation, the worlds second biggest Android smartphone was seen pasting its billboard ads showing the 5G foldable phone.

After Samsung revealed the eye watering Galaxy Fold which will cost anywhere in the region of RM8000 above, the rush for other brands to announce their own devices is just a day away at Mobile World Congress, we expect a few more foldables are coming. Huawei which has been badgering away at the Galaxy S10 ever since the launch mocking at the features like the triple camera and zoom which the Mate 20 incorporated a year earlier, is set to show its own foldable device. Very little has been revealed, even the billboard ad doesn’t tell much, except for a major revelation, while the Samsung made the Galaxy Fold, fold inwards with the display clamming up when closed, Huawei on the other hand will be folding to keep the screen visible on the outwards, a totally opposite design factor of that from the Korean. User behaviour should determine the application, and both must have sampled with close groups and surprisingly there is variant in format. Interesting approach, which we will explore further.

Size will also be closely watched, Samsung Infinity Flex display when in tablet mode stands at 7.3-inch and 4.6-inch in phone mode. Will this be the universal size or will Huawei conceptualise a much bigger form factor? Watch this space.
