HTC has officially launched the One A9 as mostly expected, rumours were rife about the new device and how it resembled a particular non android phone out in the market and how right they were even right down to the camera position. The event was exclusively held at New York’s Barclays Centre together with Tidal owner Jay Z, with performance by Nicki Minaj, Usher, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne and much more…those lucky New Yorkers!

Live tweets from the centre provided by HTC, claims the One A9 unlocked edition will receive every software update within 15 days of Google’s first push to Nexus, the A9 also has a high-output amp to drive headphones at full volume. A phone made for music we presume, the collaboration with Tidal is testament to this new feature. The colour choices are varied, finally choices! 4 colours to choose from, Topaz Gold, Carbon Gray, Opal Silver and we like the Deep Garnet.

Not just for the musically inclined, the phone’s camera will also be able to capture in RAW for better photography control. Availability and pricing were not revealed, but by the tweets posted deployment across the region could be as soon as next month even for the South East Asian market.
