Although a late entrant into the gaming scene, HP is not short of resources to make an impact. The Omen series of notebooks and desktops have been showing significant growth since inception, giving confidence to the team at the company to launch more range of products under the sub-brand. This year HP took to CES with another truck load of hardware from monitors, notebooks, desktops and even a trendy looking backpacks. Among the highlights is the 2019 edition Omen Obelisk desktop running on the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX processors.

With a semi-transparent module, the Omen Obelisk allows users to customise to their fancy just like the good old days where modding was all the trend. The tool-less design enables easy upgrading and is compatible to micro-ATX motherboards. System specification include the latest Intel 9th generation Core i7, 16GB DDR4 RAM and comes with 1TB SATA hard drive storage space. Standard of the shelf model will be fitted with RTX2080 graphics card with 8GB DDR6 dedicated memory.

Liquid cooling will keep the PC under control during intense gaming with thermal management system to prevent overheating or melting of sensitive components. While the size of the chassis appear to be domineering, the unit only weighs around 10 kg with the option of going with a glass or all metal panel.
