Here’s How You Can Check Your Touch ‘n Go Card Balance

You don’t need to find out at the very last minute that your need to top-up your Touch ‘n Go Card. That dreaded “baki tidak mencukupi” (insufficient balance) when you’ve tapped the reader at the toll booth. I don’t think anyone willingly wants to go through that, especially during rush hour.

It would seem that Touch ‘n Go is finally up to speed in offering card owners some convenience. Over the weekend, TNG Digital Sdn Bhd announced that you can now check your card balance via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app. All you need to do is add in your card’s 10-digit serial number. You can find that at the back of your card.

Users can add up to three cards within the app. To tell them apart, you can also give each of them a unique name.

However, do note that the balance is not updated immediately if you’ve topped up at the toll booth. It can take up to 48 hours to reflect your current balance.

It is also worth noting that you can’t top-up via the eWallet either. This has always been a pain-point for some, and a convenience that is much needed in the Touch ‘n Go ecosystem.

That said, the announcement also alluded more new features and updates are to follow. We hope that includes a more synergistic ecosystem for all Touch ‘n Go products.
