Dyson has introduced its first high-fidelity, audio-only headphones, the Dyson OnTrac™. These headphones promise best-in-class noise cancellation, cutting external noise by up to 40dB through a custom Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) algorithm that samples external sound 384,000 times per second. This feature, combined with high-grade materials and advanced design, provides an optimal listening experience.
The Dyson OnTrac™ headphones offer up to 55 hours of listening time on a single charge, making them perfect for extended use. Users can enjoy an enhanced sound range, with frequencies from 6Hz to 21kHz, ensuring deep sub-bass and clear highs. The headphones’ 40mm, 16-ohm neodymium speaker drivers, and advanced audio signal processing deliver every note with precision.
Comfort is a key feature of the Dyson OnTrac™, with ultra-soft microfiber ear cushions and high-grade foam providing a superior acoustic seal. The multi-pivot gimbal arms and strategically placed battery in the headband ensure balanced weight distribution, certified comfortable by US Ergonomics.
Customization is another highlight, with over 2,000 possible color combinations for outer caps and ear cushions. Options include CNC Aluminium, Copper, Nickel, and a Ceramic Cinnabar variant.
“Dyson’s audio engineering mission is to preserve the integrity of the artist’s sound wave, free from interference. We also wanted to create a set of headphones that people would cherish, be excited by, and be proud of,” said Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer. “With over 30 years of experience in aeroacoustics, we’ve mastered sound physics to develop the Dyson OnTrac™ headphones, delivering exceptional sound quality and all-day comfort through unique materials, design, and customization.”
