Francesca Orsi, the Executive Vice President of HBO Programming has announced that HBO’s drama series ’Industry’ has been renewed for a second season. The series will conclude the first season with the final two episodes airing back-to-back the same time as the U.S. on HBO GO and HBO.

From first-time creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the series follows a group of young graduates fighting for a limited number of permanent positions at an international bank in London. Orsi praised both of the creators, stating their vision on capturing an authentic, fresh angle on workplace culture and presented a complex look at early 20s life.

The series stars Myha’la Herrold (“The Tattooed Heart”), Marisa Abela (“Cobra”), Harry Lawtey (“City of Tiny Lights”), David Jonsson (“Deep State”) among others. ’Industry’ tells an insight view of ’high finance’ by the eyes of outsiders. The series digs deep into the issues of gender, race, class, and privilege in the workplace as these impressionable young minds begin to develop their identities.

Wall Street Journal remarked the series as presenting a convincing world, frequently terrifying and thoroughly enthralling meanwhile Hollywood Reporter praised the series as a steamy escapism. The characters like Harper Stern are also named by NPR as the most fascinating characters on TV right now.

Check out the upcoming episodes from season 1 back-to-back which are Episode 7: “Pre-Crisis Activity” on December 22 (Tuesday) at 11am and the season finale“Reduction in Force” at 12pm on HBO GO and HBO.
