GrabCar is continuously expanding despite the controversy between taxi drivers and these drivers. It’s simple, the public wants a driver that will not complaint about a destination being too short or far, charges fare rate, keep the cars in a well maintained way and courteous towards passengers.
Effective from April 7, 2016, commuters and passengers in Johor Bahru can now consider GrabCar, the private hire car hailing service, available on the Grab App (formerly known as MyTeksi), as an alternative mode of transportation.
Jaygan Fu, Country Manager of Grab Malaysia, said: “Johor Bahru is poised for great development and we see an avenue for us to introduce our services as an affordable alternative transportation option to the people of Johor Bahru. “In addition, GrabCar also recently introduced an insurance policy that covers both passengers and drivers and to top it off, our top performing female drivers are part of a pilot in-car CCTV initiative to enhance the safety of both passengers and drivers.”
GrabCar also operates on fixed fare and passengers can choose to pay either via cash or credit/debit card. As news rose about the expansion of GrabCar in Johor Bahru, Fu also took the opportunity to announce the upcoming incredible the Incredible RM1 Ride Promo valid only for GrabCar rides. Available to customers in the Klang Valley region and now Johor Bahru, passengers can enjoy rides at RM1 for the first 5km when they pay via credit/debit card from April 7 to 13, 2016.
“Since our inception, GrabCar also always sought opportunities to provide safe and reliable alternative options of transportation with the equal assurance of speed and a certainty of vehicle. And in view of recent economic circumstances, we are also taking affordability of rides into serious consideration as well,” concluded Fu.
To start using the app or to enjoy the Incredible RM1 Ride Promo*, passengers only need to download the app from either the Google Playstore OR Apple Appstore and register. For more details about the Incredible RM1 Promo or GrabCar, passengers can log on to www.grab.com
