Google has found a new way to capture memories that will last forever. It’s new hands-free portable camera, Google Clips can now do just that. It captures all the spontaneous and genuine moments in your life, whether it’s your friends, family or even pets.

Its compact design allows it to be placed anywhere; sit it on your coffee table or clip it to a chair, Google Clips catches it all. There is also a shutter button on the camera and the smartphone app as well. You can now capture the moments manually and automatically.

Google Clips also features machine learning in its system. It will look for good moments to capture as well as remember the faces of people who mean a lot to you. Once capturing a moment, Clips will save and sync it wirelessly to the app on your smartphone. Whether its Android or iOS, you can choose to save or delete the clip. You can even choose an individual frame from a clip and save it as a high-resolution still.

All your clips saved in Google Photos will be properly organised and it will also come with unlimited backups for free.

Aside from the Pixel series, the Google Clips works with a myriad of smartphones like the Samsung S7 and S8 as well as iPhone 6 and above. Google Clips will be available soon in the US with a price tag of USD$249 (approx. RM1,052.65).
