With the sudden shift for businesses around Malaysia to a virtual platform, and working online, smaller organisations are now facing unprecedented challenges with Covid-19 and the Movement Control Order (MCO). That being said, Google Malaysia has now announced some free online workshops to help local companies learn digital skills.
Named ‘Mahir Digital Bersama Google‘, these sessions will be held starting from April 16 – April 30. These sessions will be held by Google’s own program trainers, and will provide local business owners free tools and resources for working remotely, and to help transition to digital, remote workspaces via the virtual workshops.
“We are inspired to see what Malaysians do when they have access to technology. We know that Malaysians are changing the world through their own creativity and passion and that sometimes technology lends a hand. So we wanted to do our part to make sure that technology brings economic opportunity to every Malaysians.” said Google on the Mahir Digital Bersama Google site.
These workshops last an hour each, based on the schedule below:

In addition to the workshops, you can find more tips and recommendations for business owners at g.co/GrowMalaysia. This is helpful to ease the transition with both employees, and customers. But if you aren’t able to attend the above workshops, Google also has the “Google Primer” app which provides skills to “succeed as an entrepreneur, leader, and contributor to your workplace”.
