
However, XDA says that Manufacturers could skirt this by submitting new devices for approval before the deadline, and launching them after. But keep in mind, this doesn’t affect devices that aren’t Google certified, such as Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets, and the like.
But at least we’re seeing Google step up to the plate and moderating what device manufacturers are doing on their platform. This would also make way for easier updates, as well as making the process streamlined. Hopefully we see more devices now, out of the box, on Android 10. At least till Android 11 comes along, anyway.
