Google Cardboard, is now available as an app on Android with Cardboard Camera which allows you to go back in time and view your favourite vacation or holiday moments like you were actually there with your phone.

Cardboard Camera can instantly turn the smartphone into a virtual reality (VR) camera. Users need only to take a photo: hold out the phone and move it around in a circle. Then place the phone inside a Google Cardboard viewer, and get an experience to something new: a VR photo.

VR photos are three-dimensional panoramas, with slightly different views for each eye, so near things look near and far things look far. Users can look around to explore the image in all directions, and even record sound with the photo to hear the moment exactly as it happened.

With Googles Cardboard Camera anyone can create their own VR experience.
Cardboard Camera is available on Google Play in 17 languages.
