God of War is a huge hit. Sony Interactive Entertainment reveals that the game has sold over 3.1 million units in just three days. As a result, this beats the likes of Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn as the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive ever.
In effect, studio head at Santa Monica Studio, Shannon Studstill, has this to say on the momentous milestone:

Earning all-round critical acclaim, God of War puts itself up as a contender for best game of the generation. We also have some glowing comments about the game’s overall presentation.
Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn’s sales are at 8.7 million and 7.6 million units respectively. God of War looks set to pass that mark in due time.
