Glocomp Systems (M) Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NetApp Malaysia Sdn Bhd to deliver enterprise-grade data infrastructure solutions designed to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across Malaysian organisations.
The collaboration will see NetApp’s AI-focused solutions, including the disaggregated all-flash storage system NetApp AFX and the AI Data Engine (AIDE), deployed to help enterprises manage AI workloads efficiently across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Glocomp Managing Director Joseph Giam said, “By combining intelligent data infrastructure supported by NetApp solutions with our locally delivered, vetted services, we are empowering Malaysian organisations — especially those in government and critical infrastructure — to confidently navigate their digital transformation journeys while simplifying their security posture.”
The partnership emphasises key areas such as data sovereignty, ensuring all data remains within Malaysian borders and governed by local laws, compliance support to ease audit and regulatory requirements and cyber resilience to enhance detection, response and recovery from cyber threats.

Glocomp Executive Director Alex Liew, who also chairs the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM), highlighted the collaboration’s role in supporting Malaysia’s AI Nation 2030 ambitions.
