Garmin has officially launched the Instinct® Esports Edition, a rugged GPS smartwatch with an edge that is distinctively designed Esport tracking feature for gaming athletes and enthusiasts.
The smartwatch is equipped with Garmin’s proven health and fitness technologies and uses a dedicated esports function to control and analyse heart rate and stress during play.
Garmin’s new STR3AMUP!TM PC streaming tool also provides Instinct users the ability to livestream biometric data to their audiences for a new streaming experience.
It boasts beyond three days of battery life in esports mode which allows users to make the most of their playing time while taking their performance to the next level.
“With the Instinct Esports Edition, esports athletes can tap into that same technology to track and examine how their body responds to intense competition.
“Players can also use Instinct’s data to make adjustments in their daily lives, whether it be altering sleep patterns or activity levels, which can result in increased cognitive and physical performance during play,” said Scoppen Lin, Director, Garmin Asia.
Garmin Malaysia acknowledges the consequence of Esports and its new breed of young athletes. The Instinct Esports Edition is made for elite e-gamers as well as esports buffs who want so much more out of their games.
The Instinct Esports Edition is purposely built to military standards (MIL-STD 810) however, it’s exceedingly lightweight design provides a distraction-free gaming experience. It lasts up to 80 hours of battery life in esports mode and up to 14 days in smartwatch mode for less charging time and more time gaming.
The Instinct’s bold black and red colors, high-contrast display and rugged design bring to life a non-traditional smartwatch. As it pairs with compatible smartphones, Instinct provides smart notifications such as email, texts, and alerts to a user’s wrist so they can stay connected both during and outside of game play.
Users are also welcomed to select the esports activity. Garmin’s wrist-based heart rate technology analyses and displays a user’s heart rate and stress level to the time of a day and a game timer as it is activated.
It also monitors active stress and heart rate in real time and can provide the opportunity to manage physical and mental resources for more effective and focused competition. Users can sync their activity to a free Garmin app to view, store and analyze their data to see how their body would react in different gaming situations.
Players can use Garmin’s new STR3AMUP! PC streaming tool to broadcast heart rate, stress level and Body BatteryTM live and entrench this data into their video streams or recordings using customisable overlays. In the easier words, STR3AMUP! allows audiences to be further engaged with their favorite player or team.
The Instinct Esports Edition even provides body metric analytic features which include Advanced Sleep Monitoring, Stress Tracking, Body Battery Energy Monitor and more than 30 sports apps and robust activity tracking for users to analyse and fine-tune their body reactivity for a competitive play.
The Instinct Esports Edition is available at a suggested retail price of RM1,399.00 on AECO e-store, authorised retailers, Lazada and Shopee.
