Fujifilm Malaysia has announced the launch of its high-end hybrid instant camera, instax WIDE Evo, on Feb 12, 2025. The camera, which follows the globally successful instax mini Evo, features a WIDE format film for double-card-sized prints and includes a dedicated LCD monitor for photo selection before printing. It also functions as a smartphone printer.

Managing Director Kensuke Aragane stated, “The ‘WIDE Evo’ allows users to take pictures by viewing the LCD monitor on the back of the camera and select their favourite shots to print. Also, it can be used as a smartphone printer.”

The camera introduces 100 Shooting Effects, combining ten lens effects and ten film effects with a degree control function, allowing users to fine-tune light intensity and colour gradation across 100 levels. Additional features include Film Style framing and Wide Angle Mode for enhanced photographic expression.

Coinciding with the launch, Fujifilm is also releasing the WIDE format film Brushed Metallics, offering unique gradations and a metallic-like texture.

An early bird promotion will be available while stocks last, entitling buyers to a free premium camera case and a 16GB Sandisk MicroSD with each purchase at Fujifilm direct EC stores and selected online and offline authorised dealers. The instax WIDE Evo is priced at RM1,798, while the Brushed Metallics film is priced at RM50.
