Friendly Reminder To Claim The RM50 EPenjana E-Wallet Credit Before September 30

I know RM50 isn’t much, especially those who are already working but who knows when this RM50 e-penjana e-wallet might come in handy. I already used up mine in a day to go to work but hey at least I get to save RM50 right?

Anyways, here’s a friendly reminder to those who have not yet redeemed their RM50 ePenjana e-wallet credit, you have until Sept 24 to do so, after which they have until the end of the month to spend it. So go get claiming folks!

The remaining ePenjana credit will automatically expire on Sept 30, according to a FAQ. After that, users will no longer be able to use any unused credit in their e-wallet from the incentive.

Bernama reported that Deputy Finance Minister II Mohd Shahar Abdullah said as of August 21, a total of RM495.4mil was channelled to 9.9 million successful ePenjana applicants. The Finance Ministry in the ePenjana FAQ estimated that 15 million Malaysians can benefit from the initiative.

The first step in the application process requires that users download and register on MySejahtera, the Covid-19 contact tracing application from the government. Then users can apply for the ePenjana incentive via their choice of e-wallet – namely Boost, Touch ‘n Go eWallet or GrabPay.

To qualify, applicants must also be 18 years of age and older, with an annual income of less than RM100,000 based on the latest records from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).

Applicants must make sure that the name they fill in during the application process matches the name they used during the MySejahtera registration process via the e-wallet service of their choice.

The ePenjana incentive approval process could take up to five days and applicants can only claim the RM50 credit once, which will be automatically credited into the applicant ‘s preferred e-wallet.

Successful applicants will receive an additional RM50 from their respective e-wallet providers in vouchers, cashbacks or reward points.
