OPPO today officially launched the OPPO Reno5 series 5G here as part of its commitment to spearhead 5G adoption across the globe,OPPO’s first 5G smartphone under RM 2,000. The company is also working closely with various telcos around the world to share 5G deployment strategies.
Globally, an increasing number of countries are beginning to adopt 5G networks. According to the GSMA’s Global Mobile Trends research report, 113 mobile operators have launched 5G networks across 48 countries. This industry is expected to boom over the next 5 years. On a local scale, the National Digital Network Plan (Jendela) details plans for the country to fully adopt 5G technology by early 2023.
The Reno5 series fits in OPPO’s efforts towards a 5G era because not only is it equipped with hardware that can reap the benefits of 5G networks, it offers features unseen in devices within the same sphere.
