Apple users of iPhone and iPad would have received notification to upgrade to the latest mobile operating software, Cuppertino calls the biggest release ever, the iOS 11. A major update that will now make Apple phones a tad bit more relevant against the likes of Samsung and Huawei who have Google backing them up.

iOS 11 is now brings augmented reality to iPhones and will also see an improvement to its capabilities in making picture and camera perform better.

For iPad a new dock now offers quick access to frequently used apps and documents from any screen and makes it easier to work with multiple apps with Split View and Slide Over. Multi touch now makes moving images, text and files between apps easier. iPad Pro users will find the Apple Pencil being more deeply integrated with support for inline drawing and a new Instant Notes feature that opens Notes from the Lock Screen with just a tap. With the upgrade the Files app now provides a central place to access and organise files no matter where they are located — on iPad or in the cloud with built-in support for iCloud Drive as well as providers, such as Box, Dropbox and others.

For iPhone users the most talked about feature is the ability to now view AR apps as they are meant to be, where you can view virtual content on real-world scenes. Application for this feature is varied for instance in interactive gaming, immersive shopping experiences, industrial design and much more.

OIS comes to iPhone, when shooting in Portrait mode users can apply the image stabilisation, true tone flash and HDR, on their photographs. Loop and Bounce effects create continuous video loops for Live Photos, while Long Exposure captures time and movement. In Photos, Memory Movies can be played in both portrait and landscape orientation.

Probably a major change is made on the App Store, the redesigned site features new layout, the apps now tell a story about the developers with interviews. Apple is playing on emotion and giving human touch to apps they develop.

Siri now translates– she is more natural and expressive, adjusting intonation, pitch, emphasis and tempo while speaking, and can translate US English into Mandarin, French, German, Italian or Spanish. To be more focused on the road while driving, Apple has introduced do not disturb which will keep notification off your screen when you’re behind the wheel.
