Games on Messenger is heading your way. Facebook is rolling out games on their messaging app globally over the next few weeks on Android and iOS.
Coming with additional rich gameplay features that were previewed at the F8 conference, developers can bring new levels and rewards to their game bots.
Rich gameplay features such as turn-based games can also weave in leaderboards and tournaments, and offer more engaging and customisable game messages during play. Game bots help re-engage players by calling out new game options and encouraging competition with updates on the leaderboards.
Depending on what device you use and where you are located, there are now up to 50 games titles available on Messenger, with more to be introduced every week.
One of the first games using this feature is Zynga’s Words With Friends. New features are also coming to Blackstorm’s EverWing, one of messenger’s first game bots. A Ball Pool game – Miniclip’s 8 Ball Pool — is also teased to be rolling out soon.
