As one of the biggest social media network in the world, Facebook is constantly pushing out new features and options on their platform – be it the web or the mobile. Facebook has just introduced a new camera feature that will make it easier for users to share moments as they happen, and to express themselves more in their photos and videos.

The update to the camera functionality in the app is not just superficial – it also incorporates new features that was designed to enhance the user experience of the camera while using the Facebook app. The new Facebook camera is packed with dozens of effects like masks, frames and interactive effects that you can apply to photos and videos. Plus, Facebook Stories feature has been included in our new in-app camera to give people more flexibility in how to share experiences. Photos and videos that are added to Story will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on Timeline or in News Feed unless it is posted there.

Another new feature that is introduced in the new Camera app in Facebook is sharing content with friends directly in app. Direct is an option that’s designed for sharing individual photos and videos with specific friends in a temporary way. When users send a photo or video to a friend via Direct, it can be viewed up to 2 times. If 24 hours pass since your friend first saw the photo, video or last reply, it will disappear and they will no longer be able to open it.

Facebook has rolled out the changes to the Facebook iOS and Android apps in Italy, Hungary, Argentina, Taiwan, Sweden, Norway, Spain, and Malaysia.
