Dune: Awakening Rolls Out First Free Major Update And Paid DLC

Funcom has released the first free major content update for Dune: Awakening, alongside the launch of its Lost Harvest paid downloadable content (DLC).

From 11–15 September, players can access the survival game for free during the Dune: Awakening Free Weekend, with all progress saved. The title will also be offered at a 20% discount on Steam and third-party platforms between 11–22 September, marking its first ever price cut.

The new Chapter 2 content continues the story after the conclusion of Act 3. Players will investigate murders, explore Dune’s distant past, and enjoy expanded features such as re-customisation options, new contracts, hairstyles, tattoos, items, and dynamic encounters across the desert world of Arrakis.

Available for US$12.99, Lost Harvest delivers a full standalone storyline with new lore elements, cosmetic armour, weapons, Dune Man building pieces, decorations, and swatches. Players can also unlock the Thumper emote and the treadwheel vehicle, which offers unique handling as an alternative to the sandbike.

The DLC can be purchased individually or as part of the Season Pass, priced at US$24.99/€24.99, which will include two additional expansions featuring new areas and stories.
