Apple has released this years list of top performing apps on its iOS platform from different category including gaming, music, movie, books and podcasts. The appstore downloads are also split among devices between iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

In the gaming category, the Game of the year for iPhone went to Donut County, a simple yet addictive game, developed by Ben Esposito in the game players move a who to swallow objects, the more it swallows the larger the hole gets. This year Battle Royale style games like Fortnite and PUBG Mobile dominated global gaming culture with exciting, last-player-standing action, while innovative apps like Fabulous, Shine, 10% Happier and Headspace expanded the practice of wellness around the world to make self care more accessible.
