Dell To Slash 3000 Jobs Post EMC Merger

EMC World 2016After concluding the final documentation on the EMC deal, Dell Technologies has announced 3000 job cuts across the board but especially on redundancy. Both companies have similar department and personals on enterprise solution and will see most of the cuts come from there.

Just a few months back Michael Dell made an audacious bid to acquire EMC for $67bn, the deal is sealed making Dell Technologies the largest privately held technology company with $74bn in revenue. Dell Technologies blends Dell’s go-to-market strength with small business and mid-market customers and EMC’s strength with large enterprises and stands as a market leader in many of the most important and high-growth areas of the $2 trillion information technology market, including a portfolio of more than 20,000 patents and applications.

While the deal is applauded as being visionary and strategic for Dell, the expense of employees losing their jobs, leaves a sour taste in these sort of mergers. Spokesperson at the company has assured to keep the cuts at a minimum.
