
A Canon veteran, Mr. Nishioka moves into retirement after almost 38 years of continuous service in various management roles and postings in Japan, the U.S.A., Europe and Asia, he was instrumental in realigning the company and placing both the camera and printer business under one unit for better stratergising.
The in-coming CEO, will be leading Canon in the areas of strategy-building, sales and marketing management, services and overall operations in Malaysia. Mr. Koh started his career with Canon Singapore in 1997 as a Marketing Manager for Imaging Systems Products which comprises products like microfilm printers and document scanners. Later on, he led the Computer Peripheral Division where he played a significant role in maintaining Canon’s leadership in the Single Function Printer and AIO (all-in-one machines) space.
In 2006, he headed the Consumer Imaging & Information Group where he steered Canon to a leadership position within the digital camera and printer arena by branding Canon as a Digital Imaging Company which has solutions for both input and output. He was subsequently promoted to Senior Director and General Manager prior to joining Canon India. Mr. Koh holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull, UK and has a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
