I’ll never be able to understand how time zones work. I say that because it’s Tuesday, meaning Steam has put out it’s new list of week-long deals for the week. But first, it’s daily 48-hour deal: Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition. This atmospheric platformer is currently 50% off, priced at only RM19.02 instead of the usual RM38.05.

The game is set in the dying forest of Nibel. You, a young orphan, will have to go on a journey, finding yourself and confronting a dark nemesis to save your home. The developers, Moon Studios, made this game with hand-painted artwork and animated character performances. On top of that, the soundtrack to this game is lauded as perhaps one of its best parts. It’s a deeply emotional story about love and sacrifice, and the hope that exists in us all.

Other notable games on sale include the indie gem Bastion. A story-rich, isometric RPG of sorts, this game has been around now, having been released in 2011. Saying that, many people still love this game and it’s not hard to see why. Players can have a huge array of weapons, play at their own pace, with a great soundtrack too. Perhaps the coolest part is that there’s an actual narrator narrating as you play. It’s currently 75% off, priced at just RM7.75; that’s a bargain for a game this good!

Last but definitely not least (we won’t feature every game on sale) is Rise to Ruins. Now I know not everyone is a fan of buying Early Access games, let alone an EA-game out for four years now, but hear me out on this one. It’s been a very long time since we’ve had a good god game. As such, this could be the game to scratch that itch, as well as the city-building rash of yours too! From what I can tell, it receives a constant stream of updates every few weeks. With several different game modes as well as a no-DLC stance, the four year wait and counting for full release might be worth it. It’s currently half off at RM11.50, and you can click here for its Steam page.
