Online health service provider, GetDoc is collaborating with township manager Cyberview to introduce mobile payment for healthcare in Cyberjaya. The technology city is already adopting various electronic solutions in its township as is out to set an example as the first smart city in Malaysia.

The initiative is in line with its Cyberview Living Lab Pilot program, which aims to provide Cyberjaya as a sandbox for companies of various maturity levels to pilot their ideas and solutions in the city to meet the demands and needs of the community.

GetDoc started out as an appointment booking application for patients but have grown to offer other health related services such as multilingual health education portal, A-Z Health info, various preventive healthcare treats, health events and talks, healthcare IoT wearables, company healthcare management system, and more.

The app launched GetDocPay three months ago, the healthcare startup’s cashless payment system for patients, in its bid to be the first-of-its-kind app in the healthcare industry to offer worry-free, hassle-free, cash-free and card-free experience for its customers. The aim in launching GetDocPay is to gradually do away with cash transactions in clinics.

“We believe that GetDoc and GetDocPay services will definitely improve the quality of life for residents and businesses in Cyberjaya; and will contribute to Cyberjaya’s smart city goals,” said Jerry Hang, Co-Founder and Country Lead, GetDoc Malaysia.

Cyberview is aiming to promote Cyberjaya’s as a smart city with offerings to go cashless in line with the government’s push to reduce physical cash transactions.

At roll out, 5 out of the total 23 clinics in Cyberjaya have adopted the service.
