Today, the Ministry of Health have identified 847 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 23, 804 cases, with 8,183 active cases as of October 22. The 847 new cases are broken down as 5 imported and 842 domestic.

486 new case have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 15, 417. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 64.77 percent.

There are currently 90 cases being treated in the ICU, with 29 cases on ventilation support.

The total number of deaths from the coronavirus increases by 5 to a total of 204.
