Today, the Ministry of Health identified 40 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,819 with 1,356 active cases as of May 14.

Out of the new cases, four cases are imported.

70 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 5351. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 78.47% percent.

There are currently 16 cases being treated in the ICU, with four cases on ventilation support.

The MoH also reported one new deaths as of May 14, increasing Malaysia’s death toll to Covid-19 at 112.

Case 112 who died of the coronavirus, was case 6780, a 39-year old male who was treated at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Pahang. He had a history of a blockage in his heart and was also involved in an accident which resulted in both his legs broken and difficulty in moving.
