The Ministry of Health in Malaysia have now identified 50 new cases, bringing a total 5,532 positive cases.

As of April 22, there have been 103 newly discharged cases, a total of 43 cases in the ICU, and 25 on respiratory aid. Only one death was reported as of April 22, bringing the total deaths from the Covid-19 infection in Malaysia to 93. This translates to a mortality rate of 1.6 percent.

Case 5483 is 72 year old woman, who had a history of cancer and high blood pressure and died at Hospital Umum Sarawak.
