COVID-19 Data Updates Limited To Weekly Basis, MOH Confirms

The Ministry of Health (@KKMPutrajaya) has confirmed that the updating of COVID-19 data on their official platform, KKMNOW, is now conducted on a weekly basis.

This adjustment has been implemented as part of the transition to the Endemic Transition Phase, taking into consideration the controlled state of the COVID-19 situation in the country.

According to the ministry’s statement on X, since entering the Endemic Transition Phase, and acknowledging the manageable COVID-19 situation, data related to the pandemic on the KKMNOW website is refreshed once a week.

This shift in the update frequency aims to align with the evolving nature of the pandemic response and the reduced urgency in daily reporting.

Despite the less frequent updates on the official website, the Ministry of Health assured the public that they will continue to provide timely and relevant information regarding the current status of COVID-19 and related matters.

This commitment to transparency is crucial in keeping the public well-informed about the ongoing situation and any emerging developments.

The decision to update COVID-19 data weekly reflects a strategic move towards optimising resources while maintaining an effective and responsive public health system.

The Ministry remains vigilant in its monitoring and will promptly communicate any significant changes or updates pertaining to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

As Malaysia adapts to the new normal in the fight against COVID-19, the Ministry encourages the public to stay informed through official channels and announcements to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
