Comme des Garçons PLAY Ramps Up The Heart Prints On Yet Another Converse Chuck 70 Collaboration

Converse and Comme des Garçons PLAY have a long history of collaborative sneakers, with the Japanese fashion house teaming up with Converse on at least six occasions to release shoes with its iconic heart logo on it.

Whilst the brands have collaborated on multiple occasions, this marks the first time the heart logo has been used to generously on the Chuck 70. The new heart-print style goes back to the basics in terms of colour scheme with this new release coming in just black and white, a far-cry from the eight pack of neon toned colours that the brands released just a few weeks ago.

The upper on each pair consists of an all-over print with one solid red heard on the lateral collar. Available in both hi’s and low’s, the collab maintains its signature tonal high-gloss eggshell midsoles and toecaps,  the contrasting overlaid fabric heel strip on the back as well as the signature Converse logo on the inner collar of the Hi.

One of the best things about CDG x Converse collabs is the tonal high-gloss eggshell midsoles and toecaps. It may seem like a small detail but it really changes how the sneaker complements your outfits more than you would think.

All four of these Chucks is set to go on sale on April 29th at Dover Street Market first, followed by other CDG stockists on May 15th. No prices have been announced yet but you can fully expect it to be around US$150.
