Xiaomi has declared its latest collaboration with the National Art Gallery of Malaysia through an online photography contest campaign, “Good Things During Bad Times” to seek Malaysians’ favorable moments in life amidst these unprecedented times.
The contest will be ongoing from now until December 31 where Malaysians are able to participate by submitting entries on their own respective Instagram profiles. They will be judged by a panel of professional curators from the National Art Gallery.
The top 25 will be announced on January 6, 2021 and their photographs will be displayed on the National Art Gallery’s website as well as prizes from Xiaomi like the Mi 10T Pro and Mi Portable Photo Printer.

The Director General of the National Art Gallery, AmerrudinAhmad said that they believe Xiaomi has what it takes to stay educated in their efforts to push boundaries for creativity and innovation. Nicolas Shi, the General Manager of Xiaomi Malaysia and Singapore believed that this collaboration will inspire more than creativity but also the storytelling of each photography entry.
“In these challenging times, building positivity is pivotal to the emotional wellbeing within the society. Here at the National Art Gallery, we constantly strive to promote and nurture awareness, understanding and appreciation of art for all communities.
This can be achieved by engaging the public through various means, which is why we are happy to collaborate with the global technology leader, Xiaomi, on this public photography competition,” he said.
Xiaomi intended to aid their users’ creativity with the ultimate flagship smartphone Mi 10T Pro sporting a 108MP high-resolution camera, AdaptiveSync display, powerful Snapdragon 865™ processor, and 5,000 mAh (typ) long battery life.
