Not forgetting the general consumer public, the latest ASUS ZenBook and Vivo lines also make a showing. The new entries comprise the ASUS ZenBook 13 along with the ASUS X507UA and both ASUS Vivo AiO V272 and V222 units. All four of these devices are targeted towards the everyday consumers who are looking for maximum portability and convenience without any reduction in performance.
ZenBook 13 (UX331UAL)
Touted as ultra-light, ultra-thin and ultra-powerful, the new ASUS ZenBook 13 provides was built with mobility in mind. It weighs at only 985g, even with an all-metal chassis and is capable of lasting up to 15 hours on a single charge. While it features a compact and portable design, the latest ASUS ZenBook 13 is by no means a lightweight; it carries an Intel 8th Generation i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. This new entry will also carry the discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU, something that isn’t all too common in everyday laptops.
Its 13.3-inch display features very slim bezels and an 80% screen-to-body ratio. There are several display options, which carries from Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) to 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160). Connectivity is also not an issue with the ASUS ZenBook 13; it comes with two USB-A 3.1 ports, a USB-C 3.1 slot, a full-size HDMI jack and a microSD card reader.
To ensure its the best partner for both work and play, the ASUS ZenBook 13 also comes with the harmon/kardon audio system for truly immersive sound. Like many laptops, this next-gen ASUS ZenBook 13 also comes with Microsoft Windows 10 and the latest features like Windows Hello, Modern Standby, and Microsoft’s own digital assistant, Cortana.
As of right now, the ASUS ZenBook 13 comes in two distinct colour-ways: Deep Dive Blue and Rose Gold. No word have been given on the availability as well as its price so we will just have to wait and see on that front.
ASUS X507UA
Much like the ASUS ZenBook 13, the ASUS X507UA is another portable and lightweight laptop that doesn’t compromise on performance. While slightly heavier at 1.68kg, the it features the Intel 7th Generation Core i7 processor. It will follow suit with the ASUS ZenBook 13 as it’s packing a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX110 GPU inside as well. There’s also 8GB of RAM to work with alongside a dual-storage design, which can carry either a 1TB SATA HDD or a 256GB SATA SSD.
The ASUS X507UA sports a 15.6-inch NanoEdge Full HD display with smaller bezels, giving it a bigger screen in a compact body. There is also a plethora of ports to work with, mainly two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, a USB-C port and a full-size HDMI port.
ASUS Vivo AiO V272
Paving way for all-in-one (AiO) PCs is the ASUS Vivo AiO V272. Aimed towards the everyday consumers as well, the ASUS Vivo AiO V272 holds a 27-inch IPS multi-touch display along with Intel 8th Generation i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics. The display features 178˚ wide-viewing technology, which combines with ASUS SonicMaster audio system to provide bass-reflex speakers for clearer audio quality.
ASUS Vivo AiO V222
Taking a page out of the ASUS Vivo AiO V272 play-book, the ASUS Vivo AiO V222 showcases a slightly smaller 22in Full HD display with an 87% screen-to-body ratio, giving you edge-to-edge visuals. It will also come with the ASUS SonicMaster audio system with bass-reflex speakers. Aside from that, the ASUS Vivo AiO V222 sports the exclusive ASUS Splendid and Tru2Life Video technologies, giving you unprecedented levels of both audio and visual.
No word has been given on when these consumer laptops and all-in-ones will be available as of yet.
