AMD announces its AMD Ryzen 2018 line-up, showcasing some of the features of the releases this year. It also teases on what most can expect for other products that are due to appear later this year.
Announcing at CES 2018: AMD Ryzen 3 Mobile APU
Starting with AMD Ryzen 3 Mobile APU on 9 January 2018, two variants will be released. This is an expansion to the AMD Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 mobile APUs released in 2017. This rounds up the Mobile APU series, with the two latest variants being:
AMD Ryzen 3 2300U 3.4GHz /2.0 GHz; 4 cores; 4 threads; 6 CUs
AMD Ryzen 3 2200U 3.4GHz /2.5 GHz; 2 cores; 4 threads; 3 CUs

As for the Ryzen Desktop APU that is now with Integrated Radeon Vega, it is expected to launch on 12 February 2018.
This concept sees the latest addition to the AMD Ryzen Desktop APUs combining the latest AMD Zen core architecture and AMD Radeon Vega based graphics engine. The result is creating high performance graphics engine in a desktop processor. This allows for 1080p HD+ gaming performance without a discrete graphics card, with support for AMD Radeon FreeSync. The AMD Ryzen Desktop processors will also benefit from AMD Radeon software driver features including AMD Radeon Chill, Enhanced Sync, and Radeon ReLive.
Ryzen Desktop APU will also see two variants being released:
AMD Ryzen 5 2400G 3.9GHz max boost, 3.6GHz/ 4 cores; 8 threads; 11 CUs; set to retail at USD169.
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.7GHz max boost, 3.5GHz/ 4 cores; 4 threads; 8 CUs; set to retail at USD99.
Next-Gen AMD Ryzen PRO Mobile Processors (Expected 2018 Q2)
AMD Ryzen PRO Mobile will also feature AMD Radeon Vega graphics. This updated mobile APU brings up to 22% more competitive productivity performance and up to 125% more competitive graphics delivery than the Intel 8th Generation i7-8550U. AMD further claims that its next-gen entry offers 150% more competitive graphics performance than the Intel 7th Generation i7-7500U. With the AMD Ryzen Pro Mobile, AMD is targetting up to 13.5 hours of battery life, with AMD SenseMI features including Precision Boost 2 technology and Mobile Extended Frequency Range (mXFR).

Updates for 2nd generation Ryzen Desktop CPU (Expected April 2018)
AMD will also be rolling out its 2nd generation Ryzen Desktop CPU. This will feature AMD’s first 12nm FinFET processor using the Zen+ architecture. AMD said that the 2nd generation CPU will come with a higher clock, as well as Precision Boost 2 Technology. Along with the processor, AMD also will be releasing a 2nd generation chipset, the X470, optimised for lower power output, set to launch in April as well. The processors will be using the same AM4 socket, compatible with 1st Generation CPUs and APUs.

Beyond products, President and CEO of AMD, Dr. Lisa Su also explained that AMD is working on developing 7nm architecture, known as the Zen 2 and a 7nm+ architecture known as Zen 3. THe company will be aiming for commercialisation of Zen 3 by 2020.
