In a move to create a cash-less society, Boost has announced a milestone partnership with University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to create the first ever “cashless campus” in Malaysia. Developed by Axiata Digital, this digital mobile wallet aims to transform the way consumers interact with the modern-day form of payment.
Through the partnership, all 25,000 students and faculty members of both the UTM Kuala Lumpur and Skudai campuses will be able to use Boost as the single form of payment for all on-campus transactions. This will also set UTM as being the first test run towards introducing a cashless Malaysian society.
Officially launched in January 2017, Boost was set up for prepaid users to top-up their mobile credit. It allows users to top-up via credit or debit card or even through 17 online banking partners. This eradicates the use of having to key-in the 16-digit pin code to top-up on credit. To better attract its customers, Boost also provides cashbacks with a shake (literally!)
On June 2017, Boost introduced its digital shop that gives its users to buy digital vouchers from their favourite brands at a much more affordable price. You can also purchase the e-vouchers for friends and loved ones.
