Malaysia’s animation sensation BoBoiBoy Movie 2 has hit top rating in the region and recorded an all time high cinema attendance this year, now it can add another feather with Netflix.
Streaming giant Netflix will bring the made in Malaysia, BoBoiBoy Movie 2 across Southeast Asia on June 1 in Bahasa, English with subtitles available in Thai, Vietnam and Indonesian. Monsta the creator and animator who owns the rights to the movie, promised viewers added scenes has been included for the streaming version.
The movie broke cinema records in Malaysia when it first played and went on to be showed in 500 cinema halls across Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. Despite competition with other big ticket releases, BoBoiboy took RM30 million in ticket sales and was watched by 2.5 million movie goers.
